　Our laboratory is part of the Department of Applied Physics and Chemical Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. We focus on studying the physical and chemical properties of inorganic solid-state materials, primarily magnetic materials.
　In the realm of 'quantum materials,' whose intrinsic properties defy explanation through semiclassical particles or low-dimensional quantum mechanics, we explore how the four fundamental degrees of freedom (charge, spin, orbital, and lattice) interplay to create novel quasiparticles distinct from electrons. These quasiparticles exhibit unique magnetic and electronic properties not observed in the macroscopic world. Our goal is to develop new quantum materials using a rational design approach known as 'non-equilibrium process by low-temperature reaction.'
