Synthesis of Biopolymer Using
Hydrophobic-Soluble Support
We investigate toward a new methodology for synthesis
of peptide and nucleic acid using hydrophobic-soluble
support as a synthetic support and its application.
This soluble support highly disperses in less
polar-reaction media and immediately aggregates in high
polar solvent, resulting in integration of advantages
having both solution- and solid-phase synthesis; high
reactivity and rapid purification1.
These features have enabled us to synthesize several
physiologically active peptides2
and oligonucleotide3
in high yield and large scale.
